<p>Positive attitudes are the key to any kind of success in an individual&#8217;s life. Attitude is one of the main virtues of human beings as it determines the way of looking at the world around us. Therefore any kind of negativity in the attitude will also produce a negative image of our environment. Very often your attitude determines how happy you are. Therefore bearing a positive attitude to whatever you do is critical in gaining satisfaction for the mind.</p>
<p>Studies conducted ion the condition of populations all over the world has revealed that there is little difference between the people. But in most cases this little difference between the positive and the negative makes a huge difference in the lives of these individuals. The need of having a positive frame of mind is the key to attain success in any filed of the world, be it professional or personal. Having a negative attitude may lead to serious problems like depression, lack of harmony in life, anxiety, abnormal blood pressure levels and many other ailments. These factors have contributed immensely in increasing the popularity of this ideal.</p>
<p>The idea of positivism has attained immense acceptance in most parts of the world. This has developed to be one subject that promises to reveal more and more secrets as we go deeper in it. Countries like United States of America has received tremendous adulations for introducing a bunch of innovative yet effective ways of inflicting positivism into its citizens as well as other people of the world today. U.S.&#8217;s status in the field of introducing ways to attain positive attitudes is mostly restricted to the state republic of Puerto Rico.</p>
<p>The land of Puerto Rico is filled with some of the best centers teaching on the ways to attain positive thinking. Every year millions of the nation&#8217;s population as well as foreigners visit these places to change the state of their life by positive thinking. Therefore, if you are looking for avenues of letting in rays of positivism into your life, then these centers may be the place for you. The experts on this subject have propounded new and interesting tips for motivating the people to embrace Positive Attitude as an intrinsic part of their lives. Many people find themselves in this pit of negative thinking after having gone through a sequence of &#8220;bad&#8221; things happening to them. One way to help yourself out of this is to practice positive thinking on paper. Here are some tips to help you get started:</p>
<p>* Read books on self-improvement. Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is head to the library and check out several books on self-improvement. Reading these books will help you develop yourself. They can also help you learn how to think more positively.</p>
<p>* Keep a self-improvement journal. Buy yourself a nice journal and ink pen. At the beginning of the journal, write a list of goals you&#8217;d like to accomplish. Every day make a record of what you did to reach one of your goals. Every day you should work towards one of these, positive thinking, being the main goal. At the end of every month, go back and read your journal entries to see what kind of progress you&#8217;ve made. At the end of the year, you&#8217;ll have a record book full of entries and you will be able to see how you&#8217;ve grown and are thinking more positively about yourself.</p>
<p>* Start a positive thinking note card journal. Check your local office supply store or Wal-Mart for a book of wire-bound index cards. Every time you see a quote you like, write it on an index card. Continue doing this until the entire book of note cards is filled. Place the book on your desk or carry it around with you for quick boosts of positivity.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You&#8217;ve probably known someone who seemed to be <strong>able to think positive all the time</strong>. No matter how bad things seemed or how far a situation spiraled out of control, that person could always engage in positive thinking and exhibit confidence that everything would turn out fine. Perhaps you&#8217;ve wished you could be more like that person. The good news is that you can. Positive thinking isn&#8217;t a rare gift, it&#8217;s a habit that you or anyone else can develop through learning how to correct negative self talk.</p>

<p>Self talk refers to the thoughts that go through our heads all day as we respond to the events in our lives. The self talk that we use tends to be based on what we learned as children. Often, parents unintentionally teach children negative self talk. A parent who always fears something bad will happen to their child, for instance, may fill that child&#8217;s head with catastrophic thoughts. Or a parent who engages in harsh criticism may teach a child to blame themselves for everything that happens.</p>
<p>Cognitive psychologists have identified <strong>several errors in thinking</strong> that go into negative self talk. You can learn to think positively by challenging these errors in thinking and replacing them with more positive (and accurate) thoughts and ideas.</p>
<p>One of the most common errors in thinking is <strong>seeing the world in black and white</strong>. A thing is either good or it&#8217;s bad. People who see the world in this way may view a mistake as the end of the world instead of a valuable learning opportunity. Or they may talk themselves into having a completely bad day, just because one thing went wrong early in the morning. You can challenge black and white thinking by remembering that nothing is either all good or all bad. Make it a point to find the good even in negative situations.</p>

<p>Another common error in thinking is <strong>blaming oneself</strong> for every negative outcome and giving credit to outside influences for positive outcomes. For instance if a student who thinks this way flunks a test, she will probably think, &#8220;I&#8217;m so stupid.&#8221; If she passes the test with a high mark, however, she will probably think, &#8220;I got lucky.&#8221; You can teach yourself to think positive by making sure to give yourself credit for the things you do right. Instead of attributing a high test score to luck, the student might think instead, &#8220;I studied hard and did a very good job.&#8221; When you do make a mistake, identify what went wrong and how you will correct the problem the next time. Thus the student who flunks the test might think, &#8220;Uh-oh, I didn&#8217;t study enough for that test. I&#8217;ll study harder next time and get a better score.&#8221;</p>
<p>One last thinking error is called <strong>catastrophizing</strong>. People who catastrophize always <strong>imagine the worst possible outcome</strong>. An employee who doesn&#8217;t complete an assignment on time, for instance, may think, &#8220;Now my boss hates me. He&#8217;ll probably fire me. And I&#8217;ll never get another job.&#8221; In the space of a few seconds, the employee has gone-in thought, anyway-from making a correctable error to being permanently unemployed! You can avoid by catastrophizing by putting a leash on your imagination when it starts to run wild with negative thoughts. Instead, force yourself to think of the most positive outcome. &#8220;I&#8217;ve learned a valuable lesson about time management. Next time, I&#8217;ll get the report done early and amaze my boss.&#8221;</p>
<p>If you want to be like those positive people you admire, work on learning to replace your negative self talk with positive thinking. Being able to always think positive will see you through almost any difficult situation.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A person&#8217;s self confidence is their ability to believe in themselves. People with a high self confidence are optimistic, assertive, and eager individuals ready to take on the world and conquer the goals. On the other hand, people with a low self confidence find themselves often distant and despondent, constantly questioning themselves and often passive or submissive. Self confidence is the key to succeeding in your academic pursuits, athletic activities, employment field, and private life. Individuals that entertain a high sense of self confidence usually go on to phenomenally succeed, whereas individuals with a low sense of self confidence tend to be brought down by their inner demons and fail.</p>
<p>The trap of low self confidence is extremely easy to fall into and extremely difficult to remove yourself. That tiny voice in the back of your head that criticizes, questions, and insults can easily grow louder and louder the more you listen. Instead of traditional angel on one should and devil on the other, someone with low self confidence finds the devil there more often than not. Instead of boosting themselves up by enjoying their accomplishments or congratulating themselves on a job well done, individuals with low self esteem find their shoulder devil is constantly picking and finding fault in the midst of triumph.</p>
<p>They key to maintaining a high self esteem is positive thinking. Individuals that think of themselves in a positive light are more likely to have a higher self confidence than those nay-sayers in the crowd. One way to remain positive and keep and upbeat aura is to surround yourself with positive people. Avoid individuals who criticize, nit pick, and put down. These negative individuals are a sinking ship and will only bring you down with them. By surrounding yourself with positive people, you will find it easier to maintain your high sense of a self worth and banish that devil from your shoulder. If you find yourself in a situation where you must deal with individuals with a negative outlook, confront them on the matter. Often, office gossip, school yard taunts, or home issues bury themselves deep within our minds and wreck havoc on our self confidence. Instead of allowing yourself to be burdened by these harmful words and thoughts, fight back!  Refuse to stoop to their level, but insist the back biting and drama cease with the negative words. This task is certain to be difficult and the easiest thing to do is to walk away and let yourself moon over the hurtful words and thoughts, but the right thing to do is to attempt to put a stop to the situation. If the individuals refuse to cease, continue, or even worsen their actions, then break apart from the trend. Unfortunately, this may mean ending relationships, both personal and job related.</p>
<p>If you find yourself surrounded by so-called friends who constantly make you feel poorly about yourself and lower your self confidence, it might be time to part ways. Remember, friends, family, and loved ones are supposed to make you feel good about yourself and have your best interest at heart. This is not always the case and friends by title alone can do more harm than most enemies. Furthermore, personal relationships can have the same-if not worse-affect on one&#8217;s self confidence level. Quite often, individuals in abusive relationships find themselves despondent and upset about their situation. If a loved one is making you feel poorly about yourself by constant criticism, abusive language, and distrusting actions, drastic circumstances may be due. Make the case for a change in the relationship and make your loved one understand what his or her words, thoughts, or actions do to your self confidence. If this fails, you may need to make a painful break, but remember, your loved ones are supposed to love and support you at all times. If someone is failing to do so, they have not fulfilled their role in you life.</p>

<p>The world is a tough place to live in. Any kind of positive self talk or morning self talk can be rally helpful in making life easier for us. The growing competition of in our professional and personal life is having a major impact on our self-belief and our self esteem. As the levels of peer pressure increases with time, our lives are getting affected by all sorts of negative attitudes. Attitude, which is one of the chief determinants of the condition of our life, may be seriously hampered by intrusion of negative thoughts into our minds. <p>It&#8217;s a natural law that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So, it makes sense that as you start to make changes in your life and develop a positive attitude, some people may not like it. In fact, developing a positive attitude is bound to bring about some flack from bullies who are unhappy with their own lives and resent the fact that you&#8217;re making positive changes in yours.</p>
<p>Some bullies will attack you head on. &#8220;You don&#8217;t deserve a promotion.&#8221; &#8220;So what if you lost weight, you&#8217;ll just gain it back.&#8221; Others try subtle forms of sabotage. &#8220;Let&#8217;s take a liquid lunch&#8230;don&#8217;t worry, the boss will never know.&#8221; &#8220;Oh, go ahead, eat that fudge. You can work it off later.&#8221; However they come at you, it&#8217;s important to know how to turn bullies into allies as you make positive changes in your life.</p>
<p>First, resolve not to respond to the bully&#8217;s provocations nor blame the bully for your decisions. No one can talk you into doing something that isn&#8217;t good for you-it&#8217;s always your choice in the end. The bully may try to make you feel inferior or sabotage you, but he or she will not succeed without your consent.</p>
<p>Next, turn your new positive attitude on the would-be bully. Try to look past the characteristics that annoy you and identify his or her good qualities. If you don&#8217;t see any at first, look harder. Everyone has at least a few positive qualities. Perhaps the bully is persistent, or intelligent, or knows the system better than anyone else. These are all strengths that can work in your favor, provided you&#8217;re able to harness them.</p>
<p>When you interact with bullies, don&#8217;t stoop to their level. Instead, encourage them to rise to your level by treating them as human beings with value. Take the bully who says you didn&#8217;t deserve your promotion, for instance. Instead of responding in kind by saying something like, &#8220;Well, you&#8217;ll certainly never get a promotion, you&#8217;re the worst employee here,&#8221; try a more conciliatory response: &#8220;I&#8217;m sorry you feel that way. I&#8217;ve always admired how well you know the company. I hope we&#8217;ll be able to work well together and that I&#8217;ll eventually show you that I deserve my job.&#8221; It&#8217;s hard to remain hostile in the face of that kind of positive response!</p>
<p>Another tactic that can help turn a bully into an ally is to share credit when you do work successfully together. You don&#8217;t have to downplay your own part in a successful project, of course, but if the would-be bully helped make the assignment a success, be sure to praise his or her performance. Most bullies are people without good self-esteem. They crave positive strokes and will often give their loyalty to people who offer a well-deserved pat on the back.</p>
<p>Developing a positive attitude takes determination and the willingness to make difficult changes in your life. Once you&#8217;ve made the effort to make those changes and your new positive attitude is in place, it can be devastating to run into a bully who tries to force you to change back into your old self-but remember that you have control over how you will respond to the situation, and that bullies can be won over and become valuable allies!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Time management schemes require us to focus on positive discipline throughout the process of planning, acting, and achieving. A positive approach to success is to understand that today&#8217;s society is based on responsibility, sharing responsibility, as well as cooperation and the willingness to progress. No solution is precise, but when we find what works for us, and adhere to the basic rules, we are well on our way to success and achieving our goals. One of the major problems with our younger generation is that when they grew up the focus of responsibility, motivation, and survival was not stressed enough.</p>
<p>In today&#8217;s world women and men, both have to work to survive, and many families struggle to raise the children that are sitting at home on video games, or watching television. Where is the responsibility? Therefore, in order to understand effective time management skills, we have to relearn what we may have not been taught. Life is full of stressors and if we do not have positive discipline to survive, we are often in more trouble than we realize. Goals and plans is what make a person strive to achieve, and if we do not have our goals and plans in perspective, it is most likely we are going to tire out or fail. To develop a sense of responsibility we must have the make-up cultivated within us to survive.</p>
<p>The traits to achieve a level of responsibility are self-respect, compassion, respect, and determination. When teachers and parents that are controlling our lives and not offer us the ability to function in society raise us, we are loosing respect, and building criticism, neglect of responsibility, and negative thinking. Not all of us were raised in a home where both parents worked and neglect of teaching was happening, but for the many of us that were, we know it is a struggle to manage time and reach success.</p>
<p>Positive discipline then is the process of admitting you are human, equal to others, and make mistakes. When you make a mistake with planning your time management scheme, do not get discouraged, rather learn from your mistake and find a better solution than the original plan. This is one form of positive discipline. Another idea is to avoid negative thinking of criticizing yourself when your plans fail. Everyone at one time failed with his or her plans, and sometimes it your fault, while other times it is not.</p>
<p>Be sure to analyze what occurred and divert the plan so your time management scheme is flowing smoothly again. Think positive. &#8220;Wow, this was not a good idea, and I made a mistake, but I know there is a solution to this problem.&#8221; If you think about this, you are accepting responsibility for the mistake, but positively thinking that it is a step back in your plan, and there is a solution to the problem. Most problems do have solutions, but there comes a time when there are no solutions available when plans fail.</p>
<p>One example of a problem area that we can evaluate and see there is a solution in one direction, yet no solution in the other direction. We can look carefully at this disaster and see that if we had diverted a plan accordingly, this disaster would have not been unfixable. Ok, you go to your office and fire up the computer. Everything seems to be working fine. You begin to work through your list of tasks, since you did take the time out to include lists in your time management scheme. Suddenly, the computer fails. The screen starts flashing and all you see is DOS telling you a fatal error have occurred Windows is outdated.</p>
<p>Ok, now you are in trouble, you failed to put backup data in your time management scheme, and all the valuable information that supports you company is on that computer. The worst thing possible occurs. You take your computer to the Tech and he or she tells you, you have to reformat the hard drive and we cannot recover your data. This is one example of a disaster that has no solution. All you can do at this point is restore your computers hard drive, or buy another computer. Your data is gone forever. Now if you had included backup in your time management scheme, the solutions available would have saved you time and big money.</p>

<p>We&#8217;ve all heard it before, and we really know it&#8217;s true:  positive affirmations are invaluable in maintaining a great attitude. Positive repetition of uplifting sentiments can have a palpable effect on your outlook and quality of life. And the best thing about these positive affirmations is that they are free, easy and completely portable. (You can, and should, do it everywhere.)  Still, it can be so easy to slip into negative thought patterns, and it&#8217;s so much better for you (and everyone around you) to stay optimistic and positive. Here&#8217;s some ways to stay on the sunny side of the street:</p>
<p>1. Listen to your thoughts</p>
<p>Negative self-talk is easy to slip into, and ultimately very detrimental to your mood and even your health. It really does make a difference what you allow into your brain, and it takes dilligence to keep those negative thoughts from creeping in. Stay aware of what you are telling yourself to help keep things positive.</p>
<p>2. Choose your vocabulary.</p>
<p>Sometimes even the slightest shift in phrasing can have a huge effect on the meaning. Practice rewriting your own thoughts and other statements you hear with a positive slant. Keep that glass half-full whenever you can to remember that there is usually something positive to find in even the bleakest situation. While it might not feel natural at first, it&#8217;s remarkably easy to get used to it, and it&#8217;s amazing how good it feels. It&#8217;s a powerful change from the chronic complaining that marks so much of the population.</p>
<p>3. Little changes mean a lot.</p>
<p>Rome wasn&#8217;t built in a day, and bad habits usually take some time to lose. Think in terms of progress rather than perfection. It&#8217;s not an all or nothing proposition when you&#8217;re talking about the power of increasing your positive affirmations. Try to build up a little each day and before you know it, you&#8217;ll be miles ahead of where your journey started.</p>
<p>4. Don&#8217;t sweat the slips</p>
<p>So many people are way too hard on themselves, expecting perfection and punishing yourself for anything less than a hundred percent. This is particularly evident when you catch yourself beating yourself up over a slip into negative thinking. Allowing yourself to do this can send a little slip into a huge decline. Accept the fact that negativity will sneak into your thoughts from time to time. Make peace with your humanity. Remain aware of yourself and steer back to the positive repetition to keep on track.</p>
<p>5. Nurture your psyche</p>
<p>Make your mental well-being a priority, to improve your overall outlook. Never discount the impact that negative self-talk can have on you, and be protective of yourself. Insist on being uplifting. Refuse to allow the negative influence of others rain on your parade. Take care of yourself by caring about the quality of thoughts you allow in your brain.</p>
<p>Above all things, remember to be gentle with yourself. Becoming a more optimistic (and ultimately happier) person has much to do with the positive repetition of uplifting affirmations. It&#8217;s not a race and the journey is never finished. Be patient and steady and let your positive affirmations help your outlook brighten.</p>

<p>When you create a more positive way of thinking, you may almost instantly begin to notice a decrease in headaches. Why? The answer is simple. Headaches are often brought on due to extreme levels of stress and pressure. When you have a more positive mindset, you will worry less, which means less stress.</p>
<p>Stress is one of the leading causes of anxiety and panic attacks. Once you start to get your stress levels under control, you should notice that your anxiety and panic attacks will decrease. With a decreased level of stress, your breathing will slow and return to normal and you will not get that tight feeling in your chest anymore.</p>
<p>Positive thinking can help reduce your blood pressure as well. What is the first thing that happens when you get angry? Your blood pressure rises! By practicing positive thinking, you can learn how to release that anger and control. This in turn will help to keep your blood pressure at a regular rate.</p>
