Goal Setting

1 2 3 Easy Goal Setting

Too many people make goal setting a difficult thing to accomplish. The truth is that goal setting is simple and easy and anybody can do it. Here are three very simple steps that will get you started on the right foot for setting your goals.

1) Decide what you want. Dream and dream big. There is no dream too big or too little. There is an old saying that goes something like this: “Reach for the moon and fall among the stars.” Never settle for “just anything.”

The main key to deciding what you want is to determine what you are lacking. What is the one thing you wish you could do or have right now that you don’t? If you could only achieve one thing in your lifetime, what would that single thing be?

2) Create your action map. Dreaming big is just one very small part of the picture. You have to know how to get where you want to go.

Once you have a goal in place, it’s time to sit down and set some solid, achievable steps. These steps will carry you closer and closer to your final goal. An action map is not an option-it’s essential to reaching your goal.

Are Your Goals Lacking Oomph

Goal setting is something that anyone can do. But after having set your goals, are they lacking oomph? Do you feel totally uninspired by them, so much so that you’ve already forgotten all about them? Take a look at how you can add some life to your goals…

Dream bigger. Are your goals so small and insignificant that you don’t care about them? While it is important to be realistic when setting goals, it is equally important to allow yourself to dream big. Set some goals that you can accomplish quickly, as a self-esteem and confidence booster. Then set some bigger goals that will take a little longer and a little more work to accomplish.

Reward yourself. Sometimes your goals are great ones. The problem is that you lose excitement because you don’t reward yourself for your accomplishments. Set up several benchmarks and when you reach each one, give yourself something nice as a reward: a day at the spa, a manicure, a shopping trip. Be sure to save the best reward for last!

Goal Setting In Four Easy Steps

Everyone has dreams and wants, but the difference between a pipe dream and a realistic one is the ability to turn that dream into an achievable goal.

Goal setting can be useful to anyone who has ever dreamed of something, but haven’t been able to achieve it, yet.

The biggest issue: Where to start?

Step One: Writing down your goals.

The first step is writing down your goals. Seeing your desires on paper can help you see whether or not your wants are realistic and if they are something you actually want, instead of something that sounds good.

When setting goals, it is important that your goals are positive, realistic and attainable.

If your goal is a big house, expensive car, or haute couture clothing, maybe you should take some time to do a little soul searching before you start setting your goals, because those goals can only change the way people think about you, not the way you think about yourself.

Goals should be centred on your inner self, and aimed at self improvement and an increase in self-confidence.

Free Time Management Tips

Do you feel like there’s just not enough hours in each day? Do you struggle with a heavy load and never able to accomplish everything that needs to be done? If you find yourself worn out from being rushed all the time, try these free time management tips to get yourself back on track again:

TIME MANAGEMENT TIP #1: Drop half your work load. You’re probably thinking that isn’t possible, but it is. The truth is that you can most likely stop doing half of what you do every day and nobody would be any worse of because of it. Overloading yourself, whether at work or at home, creates a vicious cycle of never having enough time because you have way too much to do.

TIME MANAGEMENT TIP #2: Get a planner…and use it. Whether a paper planner or digital, this could be your best friend in a few weeks. As soon as you have an appointment, make note of it in your planner. You’ll use your planner to stay focused and on task and should never be late for another appointment again.

Set Weight Loss Goals

With the holidays gone, it’s time to start the new year off with some weight loss goals. If you’ve been thinking about going on a diet, or feel the need to lose a few more pounds or inches, this is the perfect time to make it happen.

STEP #1: WRITE IT DOWN

What are your weight loss goals? Do you need to lose ten pounds? Do you want to get to the gym three days per week and build your muscle tone? Would you like to start that exercise routine you’ve been thinking about to lose several inches?

Write down your goals. Keep them in a place where you’ll see them often. Better yet, create a mini poster with an inspirational quote or two and your weight loss goals. Then tack your poster to the wall or refrigerator so you will see it often.

STEP #2: BE REALISTIC
