Time Management Tools
Time management is perhaps the most important aspect of anybody’s life. Whether you do it consciously or not, you have a strategy for managing your time. Most people have poor time management strategies. That is because they have poor time management tools. In this article, I will show you how to leverage the best tools to get more out of your personal and professional life.
The best time management tools you can have are a paper and pencil. This is your time diary. For a week, just make a log each time you do a task. Include every time you switch from one task to another, and the time it took you to complete the task. At the end of the week, analyze where Gore time is going. Now you have an idea of what your biggest time wasters are, and how you can improve on your time management.
Also, a paper and pencil is a valuable tool for creating a schedule. There are a lot of different fancy planners and time management programs out there that come with all kinds of color-coded tabs and folders, and if that’s your thing — go for it! But my opinion, the easiest way to keep track of your schedule, and prioritize your activities, is to write them down on a piece of paper.
Regaining Your Self Esteem After An Abusive Relationship
Abuse relationships have the capability to inflict tremendous physical and psychological distress on the individual in the relationship. In addition to emotional and literal scars that are caused by abusive relationships, an individual’s self esteem can be completely demolished. Many individuals in an abusive relationship have been consistently told and shown they are not of value, nor of worth. After constant reminders, both men and women who are victims of abusive relationships begin to think these derogatory remarks are true. Instead of the inner feeling of self worth and confidence, these individuals have little or no self esteem left after the destructive effects of an abusive relationship.
If you find yourself in an abusive relationship, you should immediately remove yourself from the situation. Quite often, this is easier said than done as abusive relationships are initiated and maintained under the pretense of love and affection. If an individual has your well being in mind and truly cares about you, he or she will not verbally or physically abuse you. Even though this abusive individual apologizes or begs your forgiveness, abuse is cyclic and this behavior is part of its final cycle. Usually, individuals in abusive relationships say their partner is loving and supportive, then violent and abusive, then apologetic and loving. This cycle continues until either party decides enough is enough and ends the cycle.
Time Management Activities
Time management can be done by just about anyone. Most people would like to believe they have full control of their time. However, most of the time they are consumed by trying to fit in every priority into what little time they have. There will always be deadlines, whether it is imposed by events such as a flight schedule that would leave at a certain time, or by other people like your boss that asks you to do a project and he needs it by the end of the week.
How can you effectively manage your time when you only have control of a meager percentage of your time? There are techniques that you can do to provide solution to this daunting question.
1.) Note Where You Spend Your Time
Try to have a log book or a “To-do” list where you can note down what you are doing and what else needs to be done. This will better help you manage your time, so you don’t end up repeating tasks. Sometimes it would take longer for you to do this but this exercise will help you start off in managing your own time by highlighting where you are spending most of your time. Hence, you will be able to evaluate what you do and decide whether or not you need to change your time emphasis.
How To Choose Your Own Path
The decisions we make define us
To live a truly authentic life, you must choose your own path and follow it. It can be easy to fall into a rut of pursuing someone else’s idea of success instead of determining your own life goals. You will only realize the truest success and fulfillment, though, if you are in charge of your life’s direction. But how do you make this happen?
The truth of your authentic path in life is already inside of you. There’s so much noise around all of us though, from the physical noise of constant chatter and always on televisions and radios to the internal racing thoughts that distract us from any meaningful self-examination. To discover what is inside of your heart, learn how to find and appreciate silence. It is only by quieting all of the chaos that surrounds you that you will be able to uncover the messages waiting for you in your heart. Turn it all off and listen carefully.
