Low self-esteem is something that many people across the world deal with on a daily basis. Poor self image and lack of confidence leads to a fearful mindset. This article will show you several symptoms of low self-esteem that you can use to see if you, or someone you know, fit(s) the bill.

Sign #1: Inability to make decisions. A person suffering from low self-esteem often has extreme difficulty making decisions for themselves or others. You’ll rarely find them in managerial or supervisory positions simply because they lack the ability to make good decisions in a timely manner.

Sign #2: Enormous amount of shame. Poor self-esteem always causes a sense of shame inside a person. They are ashamed because they don’t look a certain way or act in a way they think others expect them to. Shame is often a driving factor for someone suffering from low self-esteem

Sign #3: The need to be perfect. One of the major signs of poor self-esteem is the incessant need for that person to be perfect. A huge majority of perfectionists embrace that frame of mind because they think by being “perfect” they will please others or make others like them more.

Time Management At Work

If you’re going to reach the top of your profession, you have to master it. The quickest way to master it is to use effective time management at work. We all have 24 hours a day, and have certain tasks that need to be completed. The more productive you are, and the more tasks you can efficiently complete means the better you will become.

It’s true that certain jobs require a more demanding schedule than others. However, no matter what job you work at, you can benefit from time management at work. No matter what you do, there are always time wasters that are currently draining some of your productivity. You can get rid of those with smart time management.

What follows is a list of tips to help you start practicing good time management at work.

1. Go to each meeting with a plan, and stick to the schedule. Nothing is a bigger waste of time then planning and preparing a meeting with no agenda. It will become very easy to get sidetracked. Also, impose time limits on the different topics on the agenda.

How To Improve Productivity

Are you feeling wiped out? Does it seem like no matter how hard you try, or how many hours you put into something, it never quite turns out right? If your productivity levels decrease, so does the quality of your work. As such, you must figure out a way to improve your productivity and I’m going to show you how to do that.

First, take a look at how long it takes you to complete something. Do you spend 40 hours per week in your office, only to complete about 20 hours worth of work? If so, you’re in big trouble. You have lost balance in your productivity. One of the big questions you should ask yourself is, “Why doesn’t this excite me?” When you can answer this question, you’ll be able to pinpoint the root of your marginal success.

Second, take some time off. Sometimes the cause for unproductiveness is simply because you are burned out. This almost always happens when you begin working long hours and burn the candle at both ends. Make an appointment at a day spa. Take a two week vacation. Go on a cruise. Do something out of the normal to rejuvenate yourself.

Questions You Should Ask Your Doctor, And Why They Are Important

As we get older, the needs of our bodies change and it is important to know if we are feeling sick, and if we are doing things to our body that are putting us at risk of heart disease and stroke. Seeing a doctor regularly is very important, but also knowing the proper question to ask during check ups, will help keep you at the top of your game.

Some very important questions you need to ask are:

1. What are my risks of heart disease?

Factors like smoking, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight and physical activity all play a role in helping to prevent heart disease.

2. What are my risks of stroke?

You can’t change your age, sex or a genetic predisposition to strokes. What you can change is your diet, quit smoking and start exercising more.

3. What are the warning signs of a heart attack or stroke?

Though they vary from person to person, feelings of chest discomfort, shortness of breath, breaking out in a cold sweat and lightheadedness could all be signs.

4. Do I need to lose or gain any weight?

We all have to find what works best for our individuality, since each and every one of us is different. Accepting our own actions, behaviors and thoughts is not the beginning of learning who we really are. Rather, it is an attribute, which follows a connection between our past and our futures. You heard the nonsense “never look back?” Well, the people that are telling you this are in a big office basing their ideas, theories and guesses on experiences and lifetimes. Hypocrites need to pluck the needle from their own eyes and quite advising others, since obviously the plans they make rarely work. This acceptance starts with the basics in managing our time. The basics in time management are setting up goals and plans that are obtainable. When we set goals for our selves we must ask…”Is this goal obtainable. Do I have the ability to achieve this goal? How do I plan to make this goal successful? Asking questions then is one basic element of diverting a time management scheme that works smoothly. Asking for help is another basic element in time management that leads to success. Success is the greatest reward that life has to offer us.
